Kaspersky Lab Report:“Countries like India are developing so fast, it opens the doors for more cyber attacks,“ said Stephan Neumeier, managing director of Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific.
“While India’s economy is growing fast, more people are getting access to the internet, large cities have 4G and Android devices are becoming popular. People need to be educated about antivirus solutions, and be made aware of not falling for phishing attacks,“ he said.
According to the cyber security experts and Kaspersky Lab Report, India along with several South Asian countries like Bangladesh, Philippines, etc are at greatest threat.
“There were some instances of ransomware attacks in India, while we perceive that banks are also at threat in the country,“ said Vitaly Kamluk, director of global research and analysis team at Kaspersky.
“National and critical security is important, and countries which do not invest into it will be hit,“ said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO, Kaspersky Lab.
Kaspersky Lab Report has announced that they have developed an open-sourced digital tool called BitScout to help in collecting cyber attack evidence.
